Glasgow Roller Derby is entirely run by volunteers - everything you see on track, on our website and social media, at our other events is brought together by us. A lot of what we do is funded by our league dues payments which are done on a sliding scale to widen accessibility to what we know is an expensive sport (skates alone are £150 at entry-level!). Most of this money goes towards hall hire and any left over is given to other things to keep the league running.
Our game day and other events help to bring in some money, and we have done specific fundraising for certain overseas events for example, to try and take the financial burden off members booking flights and accommodation. We love our fans and we love the support you show us at games and online, so we wanted to put together more options for you to donate and help us financially, while getting a little something back (as well as our everlasting love and appreciation, obviously).
