I've been accused of being overdramatic and communicating mostly in hyperbole before, though in my defence I am just that excitable and none of this is an act.

Imagine then how completely insufferably excited I was when I found out earlier this week that not one, not two, not even three but in fact SEVEN members of my very own roller derby team made it onto the training squad for Team Scotland Roller Derby for the World Cup in 2017? Lets just say that you're lucky you're not my cats because they had to be in a room with me when the news broke, and their little kitten brains are only just recovering from the experience*.

I'll get to the point and keep the suspense up no longer, the seven from GRD who will be on the training squad are: Bruise Missile, Devil's Advoskate, Jess E Ska, Marshall Lawless, Mona Rampage, Phoenix Fatale & Shorty McLightning Pants! We're all so proud of them for making it through the selection process and can't wait to see where this journey takes them!
